God, he’s so stubborn.

J walked around in pain for over a week pretending it was nothing.

Wouldn’t say how bad it actually was until he collapsed halfway to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Scared the hell out of me.

Hospital found a 24 millimeter kidney stone completely obstructing things.

They originally talked about ESWL. Changed plans after imaging and went with ureteroscopic laser lithotripsy instead.

Still wasn’t enough.

Now they’re scheduling a percutaneous nephrolithotomy.

Pain medications never work on him. Something to do with CYP2D6 according to him.

Doctors said he’ll probably be stuck recovering in the hospital for around three days after surgery if everything goes right.

Which means he’s out of the shop for at least a week whether he likes it or not.

Honestly, if this was anybody else, I probably would’ve left a long time ago.

But it’s him.

So here I am.
